A couple ~Good Things~

Did any of you see this on Oprah today? I'm am NOT a cook, Brad is great at it and loves to do it so I am willing to support that! But, I gotta say, this was so inspiring! In Deceptively Delicious, Jessica Seinfeld created great recipes to sneak veggies & other good-for-you stuff into regular kid-approved foods. I don't have too much trouble getting Kaden to eat veggies, but as he gets older I see him getting more independent in his food choices. Plus, all the recipes are low fat and really nutritious for adults, too! She'll be on Regis & Kelly next monday (10/15), check her out.

elf makeup anyone? I learned about this deal from another blogger, (thanks Tami) but it is too good not too pass along. If you go to their website all of their makeup products are only $1. And if you put in the coupon code CAROLINA when you check out then you get half price on up to $20 dollars or just $10 off if it is more than that. I haven't tried their make-up yet, but I'm gonna now, what do you have to lose?

The mint flavored lip gloss is my favorite and all of the brushes are awesome!

My oldest used to eat all veggies until about a year ago when he refuses them all -- except broccoli for some reason. I plan on getting her cookbook and putting it to use.

That book sounds really interesting! I need to check it out. We could use it. Kiddoz, btw, is just east of 3rd St. (old Hwy 97) at Reed Market Rd. I think it's 222 Reed Market Rd. It's right there close at the intersection they also have a website. www.kiddozplaycenter.com, I think. check it out! THey had good snacks for kids and sandwiches. BTW, I ran into your Mom at a stake function. I knew it was her bc she looks just like you! :)

I missed the show, but heard a lot about it, and came across an article by her too. It's a great idea, and really easy to do. I have to worry about it more because of Todd's veggie aversion than the kids :) Such a great idea!

Hi Heather. Thanks for all the nice comments on my blog. Glad I found you! Yes...I want that book! Went looking for it today at Costco, and will have to look elsewhere. I need any tricks anyone's got to get my kids to eat healthy. All they want is chocolate milk. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I wonder whay Jessica S. would put into chocolate milk?
